We estimate that the time Pa Henare spent learning on the marae would equate to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 5 years, and it’s this knowledge that forms the basis of DoW and his PhD Thesis ‘He Puna Iti i te Ao Marama—A Small Spring in the World of Light’ that was awarded ‘Korero Pono—Best Non-Fiction Book’ by Massey University in 2013.

In 2003, Kāwei Limited, was formed to manage the delivery of the redeveloped DoW Interactive Workshops designed to teach Individuals and Organisations how to apply the DoW Concepts, and Models as a ‘Māori Values Framework’ to make values based decisions that address, enhance and restore Tapu (Wellbeing) and Mana (Power) of Tangata (People) to play their Roles, achieve their Goals, and maintain our greatest asset; Whanaungatanga—our Personal and Professional Relationships in life.
